RO CARE GUIDE

Understanding TDS & RO Performance

A TDS reading can help explain purifier output, but it should be considered together with water source, purifier design and overall system condition.

Water Quality & TDS Guide

What TDS tells you

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) is a measure of dissolved substances in water. It does not, by itself, confirm that water is safe or unsafe.

  • Compare source and purified-water readings
  • Consider purifier design and settings
  • Use service history as context

When a TDS check is useful

A TDS review can support diagnosis when purification performance appears to change, but technicians may also need to inspect filters, membrane condition and flow.

  • High output TDS can indicate reduced membrane performance
  • Very low flow may point to other restrictions
  • Post-service testing helps verify normal operation
